We can’t wait to get married!!

Dillon and Kasia met at Clymore Elementary School in August of 2018. Dillon was working as a Special Education Instructional Assistant and it was Kasia’s first year working as a pediatric school-based Physical Therapist. They had several sweet students together and were friends for a year. If you ask around to the Clymore teachers, you might hear Dillon had interest throughout that school year, but Kasia had no idea! Fast forward a year, and now it was God’s timing and His plan for Kasia and Dillon to be together. They had already built a friendship, which formed a strong foundation for their relationship. This was God’s plan, it was finally the right timing, and they are both so thankful!!

They went back to VA Beach on Valentine's weekend. Kasia and Dillon both knew they wanted to be together forever, but Kasia had no thought that the proposal would happen that weekend. For one, Dillon hates holiday proposals and thinks they're so cliche. In addition, Dillon and Kasia had talked multiple times that week about the fact that a proposal was NOT going to happen that weekend. Dillon didn't want Kasia to get her hopes up and then feel disappointed when it didn't happen. On Saturday night, they went to Waterman's for dinner. On the walk to dinner, Dillon had been talking about proposals, his parents' engagement, asking questions about what happens right after an engagement, etc. If Kasia didn't know for sure that a proposal wasn't going to happen, she would have thought he might be leading up to proposing. But he definitely wasn't, right? There was a 30 minute wait, so Kasia suggested they go take a walk on the beach, which Dillon had been wanting to do. It was FREEZING y'all. Dillon turned on the playlist of music that they always listen to and they began walking up and down the beach. There was no one else around. Again, he kept talking about their relationship and their future, but Kasia thought he must just be feeling sentimental. Even when Dillon turned on their song - "I Wish I Was" by the Avett Brothers - Kasia still thought it must just be a romantic stroll on the beach. It wasn't until Dillon replayed the end of the song, began talking, and dropped to one knee did Kasia realize Dillon was proposing!! And yes, she cried.
