Let the countdown to “I do” begin! With all our love, Kasey & Troy
"Troy and I originally crossed paths our senior year of college in an evening class titled "Love Poetry Through the Centuries." Granted we only exchanged a few words and glances, but I knew at first sight that this handsome soccer-playing, Yankees fan was someone special. After that class, we were both invited to a San Jose Sharks game by a mutual friend and although we sat on opposite sides of the row, I spent more time stealing glances at Troy than watching the game. The Sharks won btw! Afterward, I thought I would never see him again, but I soon noticed that he was very interactive with said friend's Facebook posts. After some minor cyber sleuthing and a lot of discarded first drafts, I finally messaged him, asking if he 'was the guy from the Sharks game'. He said 'yes' and the rest is history."
"Love Poetry Through the Centuries". Quite a way to lead to a marriage. It all started when Kasey and I had a 4-hour lecture class together. You read that right...4 HOURS. We sat on opposite sides of the classroom, but I knew something was unique about this girl. For starters, she wore a Pikachu beanie where the ears could move, so that was an instant attention grabber. We never really spoke in class, but I knew that our paths would cross again eventually. Sometime down the line, a mutual friend invited me to a Sharks game. Ironically enough, Kasey had also been invited. We exchanged pleasantries, but unfortunately didn't speak much as we sat on opposite sides of the row. After the game we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. I thought that would be the end of it, but then I got a Facebook notification from this cute girl who I knew looked familiar. It was Kasey from the Sharks game, and as Kasey would say, "she shot her shot", and the rest is history."
