Resides in Athens, Georgia, USA As I wandered through the scorching sun in the busy cities of Accra Ghana for over 3 decades, I always had this emptiness in my heart. I always felt there was something missing in my life. It took me crossing the Atlantic ocean and finding myself in Virginia to finally understand what was missing. Kasey, you filled a void I did not know even existed. From our momentous Starbucks meeting, I knew we were destined to be more than just friends. We quickly became kindred spirits, supporting each other through life's many twists and turns. Your unwavering friendship and sisterhood has been a source of strength and joy, and I can't express how truly thankful I am to have you in my life. You are my twin sister that understands every emotion that I am going through and I always say that I can't hurt a fly but I will slay a lion for you. I love you and I can't wait to see you embark on this journey with the love of your life--my brother-in-law. -

Resides in Union City, New Jersey, USA Since the ripe age of 3, JM and I were destined to become best friends. We shared the same sandbox, brushed shoulders at the same playground, and interacted with pretty much the same people. You might be amazed at how strong our friendship is for lasting all of these years, we were like 2 peas in a pod, if those peas had absolutely no idea the other existed! For 15 years, we attended the same school, separated only by the monumental gap of 1 academic year. This must have been some kind of record for the longest standing acquaintanceship without actually acknowledging each other’s existence. It wasn’t until we moved to VA that fate decided it was time for our paths to officially cross. Our first encounter was nothing short of legendary, picture this: Me: “I think I know you, didn’t you go to my school?”, Jean: “Yeah, I think I know you too”. Me: “Cool”, Jean: “Cool”. That's all it took to birth a true friendship. After that we became roommates and quickly bonded over shared pastimes, chief among them our expertise in procrastination using video games and our late night attempts at mastering elusive dance moves in the lab. In hindsight, those dance lessons weren't just a frivolous pursuit; they were the choreographic foundation that eventually led you to meet the love of your life, Kasey! Here's to the origins of a friendship that not only stood the test of time but also inadvertently became the matchmaker for your happily ever after!
