9:00 am
Choose your adventure! Kasey will be starting early at 9am to join the Rebel Spa Alliance for soaks, scrubs, and total relaxation. Meanwhile, slow riser Griff will be suiting up with the Gridiron Troopers for football, potluck-style, and plenty of fellowship (at our house in Manassas); games start around Noon. Both events are not timebound, come / make them when / if you can. Whether you’re in the spa saddle or kicking off in the living room, it’s a chance for everyone to unwind, recharge, and have fun before the Force of the wedding day! More info on the spa and how to buy a day pass can be found here: https://virginia.kingspa.com/day-pass

May the Horse be with you! Since the ceremony is located on Fort Myer (aka Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall), each individual guest must have a background review before granted access to the base. Since this is dictated for base security, there are NO exceptions (and nothing we will be able to do to help with last minute access request issues!). - Civilians must have a criminal history check either in advance online or at the gate / visitor control (will take time). To request access in advance (MUCH preferred / easier), you MUST submit your info for a background screening BETWEEN 12/24/2025 to 12/31/2025 (See the FAQs for details on procedures, including if you need access for several days, and "gotchas" to get in front of). - Active / reserve military personnel, you all know the drill - use your CAC or other federal DoD ID card. Once you get your visitor's pass, you will be able to leave / re-enter base as needed for the day(s) you were approved for.
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Hitch Prep Before the Big Ride to a Galaxy Far, Far Away Only for those participating in the ceremony and their significant other (details were included with your wedding invite for those involved). Casual Attire: Be comfy! Before we gallop full speed into “I do,” we’re trotting through the lineup one last time. Consider this our Episode I: The Phantom Rehearsal. With a little laughter, a few (light)sabers, we’ll be ready to make the real walk feel like destiny. If you will be coming from off-base for the Rehearsal, and are a civilian (i.e., you don't have a DoD ID), we recommend you arrive to base by 3:30pm to ensure you can navigate the Base Visitor check-in and then get to the chapel. We highly recommend carpooling if you can to Base & back to Manassas if you have a Flex EZ-Pass (leverage the HOV-3+ lanes!).
6:30 pm
Galloping into the Galaxy with Guac! Only for those participating in the ceremony and their significant other (details were included with your wedding invite for those involved). Casual Attire: Be comfy! Join us for a night that’s nacho average dinner! We’ll be saddling up at one of our favorite spots in town for Tex-Mex — a tasty tribute to when Griff ‘taco’d’ Kasey into forever.
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
The Mane Event: From Solo to Soulmates! Formal/Cocktail Attire: Cocktail dresses, LBDs; suits or jacket and tie If you will be coming from off-base at the time of the ceremony, and are a civilian (i.e., you don't have a DoD ID), we recommend you arrive to base by 2:30pm-2:45pm to ensure you can navigate the Base Visitor check-in and then get to the chapel / seated timely (definitely on the earlier end if you did not get your visitor's pass online in advance). There is plenty of parking at the chapel. Please arrive at the chapel between 3:00-3:15pm so that you can find your seat and we can start promptly at 3:30pm. Please note: Only the guests listed by name on your invitation are invited to the wedding ceremony and reception. We’re unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones at the wedding. Thank you so much for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
4:00 pm
Before the sun trots off into the galaxy (if weather allows), we’d love to capture some ‘neigh-borly’ family photos right after the ceremony at Fort Myer. If the weather is terrible, we will stay in the chapel. Either way if you are related to the bride or groom — please stick around for a few clicks and Force-filled smiles before galloping off to the reception! (don't worry - we'll try to make it quick!)
5:00 pm
Light Saber Shuffle and Horseshoe Hustle! The Columbus Grill is a short ride (about 45 min–1 hr.) from the Old Post Chapel. Upon arrival, trot on in for some lite bites and sips to fuel up for the festivities. Those not involved in family pictures, please feel free to get there ahead of us and get in some snacks; we will be there shortly! Then it’s time to raise a glass, feast from the buffet, and hoof it to the dance floor! Beer and wine will flow freely, with a cash bar for those who want to channel their inner mixologist. Saddle up — it’s going to be a celebration of galactic proportions! The restaurant does allow overnight parking, and Uber/Lyft is plentiful in the area, so feel free to take advantage of that in your transportation plans for the end of the evening.
