Thank you to Our Family

The Wedding Website of Christie Johnson and Kasey Catteeuw
Kasey and Christie would like to honor and introduce to you their immediate family and guests of honor, without whom this day would not be possible. They have poured their love and prayer into the couple, and they are eternally grateful.

Michael Johnson

Father of the Bride

Little girls have no greater first love than their dad. Michael is surely to blame for Christie's sweet, easy to get along with personality! Who are we kidding? He is to blame for her wild hair, sassy spunk, and "giddy-up and get back on" mentality. Not to mention her expectations of a love story that can battle any weather. Fathers show their daughters what to seek in a life partner. It's safe to say Kasey is father-approved!

Kevin Catteeuw

Father of the Groom

Kevin is the father of the groom. He is also the reason the groom can never sit idle. These two men love to tinker. Kevin often had young Kasey in tow in his workshop and put hammer and nails in Kasey's hands at an early age. Kevin has worked tirelessly to help build a home for Christie and Kasey from clearing parts of the couple's land to setting up and renovating their home he has contributed substantially to the couple's future.

Vickie Lynne Johnson

Mother of the Bride

Christie never imagined that her mother would not physically be able to attend her wedding. While Vickie has passed away, she will undoubtedly be attending Kasey and Christie's wedding in spirit. You will find Vickie in Christie's smile-- the two of them with the same gapped tooth grin. Vickie wanted nothing more than to be apart of the couple's special day, and she gifted Christie the center stone of her engagement ring that will symbolize her love for them both and create an heirloom of love for generations.

Barbara Ann Catteeuw

Mother of the Groom

Kasey is blessed to have a mom like Barbara. Barbara has instilled some of the best qualities in Kasey, according to the bride. She has given him a passion for family and a work ethic that is unrivaled. Kasey and Barbara share a passion for nature and the outdoors, and both love nothing more than sharing those experiences with their family and loved ones. Barbara gifted Christie her wedding band that the bride will forever treasure.

Joyce Rock-Nobles

Grandmother of the Bride

Joyce Rock-Nobels maternal grandmother to the Bride. From catching Christie in the delivery room to the present day, Joyce and Christie are inseparable. Christie's fondest memories of her grandmother are rocking on an old wooden swing under an oak tree, watching the birds while Joyce sang Davy Crockett.

Frances Schroeter

Grandmother of the Groom

Grandma Fran is Kasey's maternal grandmother. While Grandma Fran may reside in Michigan, she is always close to Kasey's heart. Kasey enjoys nothing more than getting to spend time just relaxing and talking to his grandmother. The couple is incredibly excited to have her apart of their special day.

Casey Lee

Sister of the Bride

Casey Lee is the bride's younger sister and daughter of Vickie (deceased) and Michael Johnson. Casey is full of color and spunk! She is known for her carefree and loving soul, and she is Christie's favorite co-conspirator.

Stephanie Nicole

Sister of the Groom

Stephanie is the eldest daughter of Kevin and Barbra. Kasey adores his big sister, and the two have always been close. She is his confidant, and one of his closest friends. The bride is blessed to gain another sister through the couples union.

Gretchen Sloan

Honor Attendant

From hiking up mountains to falling down them laughing all the way! God brought Gretchen (and all the Sloan's) into the bride's life and family in 2013. Christie could not imagine life let alone her wedding day without Gretchen and she is so thankful to have her as a friend and mother figure.

Eddy Thornton

Stepfather of the Groom

Kasey is blessed to have bonus parents. Eddy and Kasey embrace their sense of wild adventure often. Kasey and Eddy can quickly be found on the water or exploring the woods looking for the black gold or “good mud." The bride and groom feel incredibly fortunate to share their next great adventure of marriage with Eddy as a part of their family.

Lianna Delanie

Sister of the Bride

Lianna is the daughter of Gretchen and Don Sloan. She is like a sister to the bride! Li has an infectious laugh that can always put a smile on Christie's face. From coffee shops to hopping in the water with Beluga whales, she is game for any adventure! The bride could not celebrate her special day without her!

Theresa Catteeuw

Stepmother of The Groom

Teri is the stepmother of Kasey. She brings so much love and compassion to our family. She always has a kind word, a hug to share, and sweet tea. The bride and groom are very fortunate to have her as a part of their family and their special day.
