Eric arrived with a friend, of a friend, of a friend, to a New Years Eve party I was hosting in my little 500 sq. foot studio apartment. I had just moved to Seattle from PT school in Omaha, and we connected immediately after mentioning he was from Montana, loved fly fishing, and was working in a lab. Nerd. Later that night, at the lovely dive Zoo bar in Eastlake, Eric sneaked some champagne down to Lake Union waterfront where we talked the night away. Our official first date came the following week with Eric acting as my Seattle tour guide, in which we (he) put together leftover Ikea furniture and dined over quintessential Seattle food, oysters and Asian. Jumping ahead a year later, we found our relationship had progressed to living together in the Wallingford neighborhood, adopting a couple of kittens (Puma and Penelope!), and Eric starting the grueling task of med school.
Med school currently takes us to Billings, MT in which Eric is completing his rotations at Billings Clinic. I currently work at a local physical therapy clinic, specializing in orthopedics and women's pelvic floor health, which between the two of us, make for really great dinner conversations. We are lucky enough to live with Eric's parents, Rob and Nancy, while we are in Eric's hometown. The two of them have really made it an easy and welcoming transition for us; we couldn't be more appreciative and thankful for all their help with the wedding planning, regular dinner company, and lamenting the 2017 MLS cup. We're unsure where Eric's career will take us, but we're open and ready for adventure together.
