We're getting married!

June 17, 2019 at 8am - Lauren Gohlke walked in Oracle NetSuite's Business Development training room and sat across the table from Karsten Green. Little did the two fresh out of college, young professionals know that 2 years later they would start dating and 6.5 years later they would get married. WELL...at least that's what Karsten & Lauren would say if you asked them. If you asked the rest of their team they started work with that same day, they would say it was love at first sight. Karsten and Lauren instantly had an undeniable bond. Within the first two weeks of meeting, the two became best friends. They would text/talk every day, hang out every weekend in Austin together, and worked alongside one another for almost two years. Lauren strongly believed in not mixing business with pleasure, and dating in the workplace. Karsten, was patient and kind - and may have prayed a couple times for Lauren to quit her job. That prayer came true in the Spring of 2021. With both of them single and working at separate companies, the two became closer than ever and started hanging out more one-on-one. After Lauren's dog passed away while she was on a work trip, Karsten was the first person to immediately step-in and help her through that loss - to the point where he picked her up from the airport and drove to help carry her baby back home. Karsten's endless acts of love for Lauren never went unseen. After this pivotal moment, the two immediately started dating and have been inseparable since. The last several years of Karsten and Lauren's relationship has been filled with never ending laughs, love, and memories surrounded by many friends and family. To see two people who come from opposite sides of the country live's come together has been a beautiful experience. Karsten proposed on November 29, 2024 in a city that means so much to them - Munich, Germany. The two have traveled to over 14 states and 9 countries together thus far and are looking forward to exploring Southeast Asia together for their honeymoon.
