"Hang at the public docks on Donner Lake!" - Sweet Potato Pup
Visit Lake Tahoe - about a 20 minute drive from Truckee and totally worth it if you've never been! Tahoe City has a public beach and walkway along the lake. Emerald Bay is stunning and lots of hikes around the area, little bit further of a drive.
Hiking - Donner Summit Canyon (could go all the way up to Donner Ski Ranch!) Johnson Canyon, Coldstream Canyon, Sawtooth Trail Network, Legacy Trail paved path next to the Truckee River, Eagle Rock overlooking Lake Tahoe, ask us!
Golfing - lots of golf courses in the area. Whether you're looking for a casual or higher end course, we have lots to choose from.
Shopping Historic Downtown Truckee or Tahoe City. Lots of local shops, eats, drinks and fun!
Take a scenic drive up Old Highway 40 (Donner Pass Road) to the Rainbow Bridge viewpoint overlooking Donner Lake, then head to Donner Ski Ranch for lunch/drinks.
