This spot is a little further away, but is beautiful for kayaking, hiking, swimming, or picnicking. It's open all week and has some gorgeous waterfalls.
Richloam Wildlife Management Area
This spot has some great hiking trails, perfect for the December weather!
River Junction Campground Withalacochee State Forest
Perfect for hiking or kayaking! We have kayaked the Withlacoochee River a number of times, and it never fails to be beautiful.
Crystal River
Downtown Crystal River has some adorable shops, restaurants, and excellent coffee! There are places to rent kayaks, book manatee tours, and much more.
Pine Island Beach
One of the prettier beaches in the area, full of wildlife and interesting scenery!
Swap-O-Rama's Webster Westside Flea Market
This flea market is only open on Monday, but is located right down the street from the venue and has one of the largest selections in the area! You can find anything from antiques to fresh produce.
The Villages
The Villages has an excellent variety of shopping and restaurants, including Barnes and Nobles, a few craft stores, and good sushi spots!
