Reunited

We were in our early 20s and met on Easter Sunday. A mutual friend had invited my girlfriend and I to church not knowing it would change our lives. We gathered at our meeting location and there was Paul and his brother, TWINS!!! He immediately caught my attention and by fate I rode with Paul and sat beside him in church. It was the start of a beautiful friendship. But God had other plans for us. We ultimately drifted apart and went in different directions. Paul found a wife and had two handsome boys. I found a husband and had a beautiful daughter. Life took us on a journey of many twists and turns. The happiness we once had came to an end. Then one day our lives came full circle. God would bring us back together by way of a church event, just like our first meeting. Paul invited me to an anniversary service to which I was a little reluctant at first, but went anyway. We once again were given the opportunity to persue each other. The second time around was a gift! We are older, more mature and value the simple things in life. God is the center of our relationship and we are blessed that He has directed our paths to be reunited. Love is patient. Love is kind. ❤️

Paul and I spoke about marriage, but I never imagined a proposal on Christmas day! So my family and I were invited to the McGibbon family Christmas luncheon held at the Benjamin Restaurant located in Greenburg, NY, It gave our families an opportunity to finally meet. We were escorted to a beautiful private room set for a five course feast. Down the center of the table were white roses, cranberries, and candles....Loved the ambiance! Each place setting had champagne and wine glasses, with a personalized menu. How impressive it was to dine in the Wine Room! After we were all seated, the head waiter announced, “Let us begin!” Champagne glasses were filled right away. Paul stood and I expected him to bless the food, but it turned out to be a proposal which created excitement for all who gathered. Paul got down on one knee and popped the big question. I said, YES!

We will be wed in Middletown, CT at a beautiful mansion fit for a man and his bride. We are beyond excited to celebrate with you!
