Flight
Located about 60 miles from Columbus (1-hour drive), DTW is the primary international airport serving the region. It offers direct flights from major U.S. cities and some international destinations.
Travel Note
- If traveling via Canada, you may need a Canadian transit visa or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization, ~$7 CAD) in addition to the U.S. visa. Check with the Canadian government website. - Carry our wedding invitation and venue details to present at U.S. Customs Service if asked about the purpose of your visit.
Rental Car
- Renting a car is the most convenient way to get to Columbus and explore the area during your stay. DTW has on-site car rental facilities with major companies, making it easy to pick up a vehicle upon arrival. You can typically use your valid home country driver’s license for up to 90 days in Michigan, but an International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly recommended as a supplement. - (Uber/Lyft) are available from DTW with designated pickup zones. Download the Uber or Lyft app before travel.
