Flight
SFO is the best airport to fly into and is closest to the wedding venue. It is also the closest drive from Santa Cruz, where we will be having our afterparty on Sunday. You can also fly into OAK or SJO if that is easier for you.
House Or Rental
San Francisco is where Airbnb is based, so there are amazing options all around the city. We will be staying in an Airbnb in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco Friday and Saturday night. You will love any neighborhood that you pick!
Rental Car
There are car rental agencies at SFO and all across San Francisco City. If you are renting a car in SF, also make sure there is parking at your hotel or airbnb. Parking is very difficult in the city, so be prepared to either circle the block for an hour to find a spot, or consider avoiding the stress and take cab.
Travel Note
Feeling adventurous in San Francisco? Skip the hotel and book a van to sleep in. There are a handful of attendees doing so. You can park it near Golden Gate Park or on Ocean Beach and sleep there. Tip: Ocean Beach parking is walking distance from our wedding spot. We've heard that you don't get bugged to move your van from those spots. For Santa Cruz and Yosemite camping, many people are pitching tents. But if you're looking for the van life experience, this company is reasonably priced, fun and funky! Travel Note
We investigated hotel blocks, but we've found the best rates are on hotel booking websites like hotels.com or expedia.com. San Francisco is only 7x7 miles total, so all neighborhoods are within a cab's distance from our venue- and really amazing. If you would like to stay near where we are staying Friday and Saturday night, stay in the Western Addition, Haight street or NOPA areas. If you would like to be near shopping and all the sites, stay in the Financial district or Union Square districts. If you crave fantastic local neighborhoods, stay in the Mission or the Castro.
