There are 2 ways to see this beautiful landmark. Drive up to the marin headlands and see the San Francisco skyline as an incredible backdrop.
Golden Gate Bridge From Baker Beach
The second place to view the Golden Gate Bridge is from Baker Beach. A local secret, you won't see many tourists here. Bring a coat, it gets chilly!
The Bay Bridge At Night
The Bay Bridge is stunning night or day. Walk along the embarcardero. To enjoy this view over a meal, head over to the ferry building for casual bites, or splash out on a fancy dinner at Epic or La Mer.

The happiest place on earth. The Castro is San Francisco's LGBTQ district and is full of increadible bars and restaurants.
Mission Dolores Park
For one of the best places to relax outdoors and see the SF skyline, all at once. Spend a few hours with the locals over a takeaway lunch here. Walk down to the mission neighborhood afterwards for some tacos or sushi.
Marriott Union Square 33rd Floor View
Float in the skyscrapers while enjoying a drink or a snack. Some of the best views in the city, and a great place to relax after hanging out in the main shopping area of Union Square. Try for sunset so you can see the city transform from golden sunset to sparkling, twinkling city night.

Karla's favorite San Francisco bar. Head upstairs and hope to get a booth. Check out the gas lamps. Browse one of the best bookstores in San Francisco right next door. Be sure to check out Chinatown and North beach- all within walking distance.

Ferry Building
Enjoy all of California's bounty with artisanal wine and cheese tasting at the Ferry building. Head outside after lunch for a walk along the bay to view the bay bridge. Saturday morning enjoy the Farmer's market and shopping and walk along the promenade. Have some lunch or oysters at the Ferry Building and watch the ferrys come in.
