Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding events are semi-formal/cocktail attire. We are open to both Indian & American attire. There is no theme at any of the events. The Welcome Party & Wedding Ceremony will both take place on the beach so plan your shoes accordingly! The Vidhi/Pithi will be on the terrace so plan your outfit around being outdoors for this event. Please avoid wearing all white for the Reception!

Question

Will there be down-time during our stay?

Answer

Yes! Our first event begins at 7 PM on Thursday, March 17th. If you are flying in before then, feel free to enjoy the day however you'd like. On Friday, March 18th, our only event will be the Vidhi/Pithi which will begin at 12 PM. This event should last around 3 hours. You will have the rest of the day to do whatever you'd like. Saturday, March 19th, we are making the entire day about US! There won't be too much downtime besides the hours in between the wedding & reception. Sunday, we have nothing planned post-wedding, but we will be staying until Monday to relax and do nothing! We would love it if you could join us!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

We hear March is the best month to have a wedding in Mexico, so we are hoping the weather will be beautiful. The day temperature is typically around 80-86 degrees in March and around 70-75 degrees during the night.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to primarily be an adult-only event so that everyone can relax and it can be your time off! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay within as our wedding is international. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitation.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We do not have a registry as we are requesting no boxed gifts.

Question

What are the VISA/Passport Requirements for Mexico?

Answer

Travel to Mexico requires valid passports, even for US Citizens. Please ensure that your passport expires after 6 months from the date of entry into Mexico. Mexico has no visa requirement for US Citizens, but you will be asked to fill out a FMM form (Mexico's visitor permit) on the plane or once you land. Once you get to immigration and customs at Cancún airport, the agents will give you the bottom half to retain until you leave the country. It is VERY important to keep this secure until you leave Mexico. Indian Citizens will need to obtain a tourist visa unless they have a valid US Visa or are permanent residents of Canada, UK, or Japan. Please verify requirements before travel. If in doubt, please get in touch with your local Mexican embassy.

Question

Is there a discount code?

Answer

We have secured discounted group rates for guests. Reservations MUST be made on the site through Shaadi Destinations to attend wedding events; reservations made directly with the resort, via online travel agencies such as Expedia or Hotels.com, or via a travel agency will not receive any group perks, discounted group pricing, and promotions nor will guests be allowed to enter wedding events. https://www.shaadidestinations.com/karishma-and-manish

Question

What time is check-in and check-out at the resort?

Answer

Check-in time is at 3pm and check-out time is at 12pm. Reservations made through Shaadi Destinations will be given priority on early check-in times as we will make requests directly with resort management. Early check-in is not guaranteed, but the resort will do their best. Guests are welcome to stay on property all day the day of check-in and check-out. Bags will be stored with your butler staff when you don't have access to your room.

Question

Does Shaadi Destinations handle flights?

Answer

No, they do not book flights but they will handle all hotel reservations from their site https://www.shaadidestinations.com/karishma-and-manish. However, they will handle the transportation from the airport to the hotel for our guests.

Question

Can I stay for less than 3 nights?

Answer

While most destination wedding guests choose to stay 3-6 nights when flying to Mexico, we understand there may be certain limiting factors. Unfortunately, group discounts are only valid on a minimum of 3 night stays. If you must stay less than 3 nights, please contact hello@shaadidestinations.com so we can find the best rates possible for you as you must book within the group. Booking through Shaadi Destinations allows for certain group benefits to be conveyed and allows for the best rate possible.
