Our love story began 800 miles away from each other, back in 2017. A month or two after meeting on a dating app, through the all-day and late-night texts, video calls, and back-and-forth flirting, we quickly started becoming the best of friends. 6 months later, we gave long-distance dating a real chance. 4 years' worth of memories later, conquering long distance, and building our home together, we're ready to take the most special flight of our lives.
Karishma's sister & best friends had planned a day out for Brunch & Cocktails on March 13th. When they got home later that evening, Karishma opened the front door to the house completely dark, lit with candles, decorated with crazy amounts of picture frames, and rose petals leading to the backyard. Manish was planning for months on how to make this the most magical night. With every detail in mind, including manipulating his location on Find Friends because of Karishma's tendency to check if he made it home safe after a night out, purchasing WiFi during his flight over to NJ to make sure that a long period wouldn't go by without Karishma receiving a text from him, ordering supplies all week long to Karishma's neighbors house, and finding an AirBnB down the street, with the help of his Best Friends & Karishma’s Brother in Law, Manish flawlessly executed Karishma's dream proposal. The backyard was lit with hanging globe lights all over and a red carpet led up to where Manish stood at the other end. 5 feet "LOVE" letters sat on one side and the other side stood a violinist playing all of Karishma's favorite love songs. After all of the tears and extreme astonishment, Manish got down on one knee and asked the easiest question he had ever asked and Karishma said yes to a question she knew the answer to for a very long time.
When I first met Manish, he seemed like another smooth talker not looking for a real relationship. While I have to admit his suave demeanor was attractive, it was his sweet and thoughtful side that really drew me in. He's outgoing and vivacious, caring and kind. I can't wait to call him my husband.
Meeting Karishma, I knew I had met my match. She is smart, beautiful, and when no one is looking she is extremely goofy. It's rare to find someone who brings out the best in you and pushes you to strive to be a better person. I am fortunate to have found my best friend 800 miles away, and I cannot wait to call my best friend my wife.
