Bologna is a major rail intersection in Italy, linking north to south and east to west, so major cities like Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome have multiple trains per day going to and from Bologna.

Rental Car

You will find major international rental companies like Hertz and Avis throughout Italy. We personally recommend U-Save, a budget friendly option, which we have used several times in Bologna. They are located at the Bologna Airport and at the train station in town.
