Things To Do

Davids Samling - Davids Collection (Free Entry)

30 Kronprinsessegade, København, 1306, Denmark

Some rich Danish guy named David opened a gorgeous museum of the incredible artifacts he has collected so that everyone can access them and learn from the history. Collection comes largely from the Middle East. This is one of my favorites.

Tivoli - An amusment park right in the City

3 Vesterbrogade, København, 1630, Denmark

Tivoli is an iconic amusement park right in the heart of the city. It has been open since 1843 and is home to the oldest continuously operating roller coaster. Just walking around the grounds is a wonderful expierience and always decorated for the season. There are also sometimes shows on the main stage in the center of the park, so look to see what is coming. There are a few types of tickets: 1 Day - Park entry only - $25 US /180Kr (You can pay for any rides you want to take at the ride itself, roughly $7-9 US/40-60Kr per ride). 1 Day - Park entry and unlimited rides - $50 US /349Kr one will just get you into the park and you can pay for any rides you want

The Three Museum Ticket - Københavns Museum/Thorvaldsen Museum/Nikolaj Kunsthal

18 Stormgade, København, 1555, Denmark

These are three separate museums in three different locations in Copenhagen. The address listed is for the Copenhagen History Museum. The link is to a ticket that will get you into all 3! ($16 US/110Kr) Københavns Museum - A history museum about the city of Copenhagen. It gives a lot of fun and interesting facts about the city and how it came to be. Can be done in a couple hours. Thorvaldsen Museum - Bertel Thorvaldsen was a famos danish sculpter who lived in the late 1700s - mid 1800s. He worked largly with marble but did his drafts on plaster. He is the only protestant sculpter to be invited by the pope to create art for the catholic church. You can see many of his works and drafts here in the museum. Nikolaj Kunsthal - An art museum. I have never been, but it has been reccomended to me.

Botanisk Have & Sommerfuglehuset - Botanical Garden & Butterfly House
