Ceremony and Toast

Semi-casual to formal. Wear what makes you feel good! (no white dresses, no flip flops)
Photos are not permitted during the ceremony, which will take about 35 minutes. After the ceremony, we will have 20 minutes for photos in the church. Guests have to be seated no later than 5 minutes before the ceremony starts. We are not doing sides. Please sit where you feel comfortable. At 2-3 PM, we will serve champagne and cake in the courtyard of our venue, Munkekælderen, and we would love for everyone to join. You enter through the double doors to the left of the main entrance to the University building. A bus will drive from the church and to the venue around 2 pm.
Tour of the University Library
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

While the newly weds are out having their photos taken, Karina's lovely aunt and uncle have arranged for our wedding guests to get a tour of the old University Library and dungeon that is located in the next door building to the venue! The tour takes about 50 minutes. It is a good idea to wear some good shoes. When we are going to the prison dungeon, there are some tall stair steps! Grab a buddy and hold on! On the private guided tour you will get an in-depth introduction to the Library building, and you will be taken on a tour to see some of the university’s oldest buildings from the outside. Not least you will get the opportunity to come down into the university’s old prison dungeon where you can still see the carved names of mischievous students all the way back to the last half of the 1600s. Our talented tour guided will narrate in a lively fashion and there is time for questions and answers.

Please be seated at 5 pm. If you would like to do a toast, we encourage you to do so in English, but if you are uncomfortable with it, Danish is also okay. He speaks both English og taler dansk :-) Once dinner has ended, we will clear space for a dance floor, turn up the music, and open the bar, which will be manned by lovely friends taking turns! And for the Jutlanders - yes, there will be a sømblok in the courtyard ;-)
