On Miguel and Karina's 4th anniversary Miguel planned a very special surprise. Initially, he told Karina that they would be having a picnic that day and although Karina had some concerns about the weather he assured her that he would take care of everything. When he arrived at her house to pick her up he seemed incredibly nervous and fidgety but Karina assumed he was nervous that the picnic he planned would not work out. Karina asked him what he had packed and he replied "Sandwiches." Once they entered an unfamiliar neighborhood he parked and asked her to cover her eyes with a bandana. "Wow, this must be a really nice picnic', Karina thought. He started the car and turned a few corners until he parked and helped her walk out onto a grassy area. She felt him leave her side and a few moments later a pair of hands helped her walk onto a flat surface. When she was prompted to take off the bandana she saw the magical scene before her. A mariachi dressed in white with the love of her life standing in front of them. Behind her, her future sister-in-law, Monique, and her boyfriend, Ricardo, taking photos and video. The mariachi started playing and Miguel and Karina swayed to songs that they have previously dedicated to each other and Miguel confessed there weren't actually any sandwiches. At the end of "Mi Razon de Ser" Miguel knelt down and asked Karina to marry him and she happily said yes.
