We first connected on Instagram through mutual friends, as we were both part of Greek life in college—Sigma Lambda Gamma and Sigma Lambda Beta. Our conversations began in April 2017, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Over the past 8 years, we’ve navigated long-distance between Tampa and San Diego, lived together in Florida, Maryland, and now are building our future in California. While we share many things in common. Our strongest bond is over our mutual love of travel, food, and the cultures we immerse ourselves in along the way. Since we’ve been together, we’ve explored incredible destinations like Spain, Dominican Republic, Greece, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Mexico, and Hawaii.

On September 2023, we went on an unforgettable Euro trip to Croatia, Italy, and Cyprus. On September 16th, while in Italy, Faraz told Karen that he had planned a special dinner night to celebrate her 30th birthday. As soon as they entered the uber car service, Faraz told Karen the first part of her surprise. The driver was actually a photographer who would be doing a private photo shoot for them in Positano. Faraz told Karen that this was her birthday present since she had always wanted professional couples' photos. When they arrived at the bottom of the waterfront area where boats dock on the Amalfi coast, Faraz said he had one more surprise. He said he had planned a sunset boat tour. As soon as they stepped into the boat, Karen turned her head and saw Faraz down on one knee. With the breathtaking Positano backdrop, Faraz proposed, creating a moment that marked the beginning of their forever.
