We’re getting married!

We met in our US government class at Brookhaven community college. There were only two girls in the class and I was one of them. When it came time to work with partners, the other girl and I wanted to work together, but our professor told us to divide ourselves amongst the guys. So we did. I turned towards an open desk and two other guys followed. Jose happened to be one of them. As a result, we got paired together & our friendship began. From that moment on, every little detail went unnoticed & the smiles grew bigger. When the semester ended & we realized we didn't have an excuse to see each other anymore, then we realized we didn't want to be away from each other. It wasn't until the following semester when I tried enrolling in classes that I was asked why did I enroll in US government if I didn't need the class. So one mistake became the best thing to happen.

It was a cold Saturday night in NYC, we had just made it back outside after a rushed makeup touch up & Jose was trying to wave down any taxi that drove by. I could tell he was nervous but did not know why. We finally made it to a hotel I did not recognize, The Time Hotel, & he walked up to the host to let them know we had arrived. I had no idea why we were there, but the host then guided us up to the penthouse. I hadn't even noticed the penthouse button was pushed, but when the elevator doors opened, I walked down the hallway to the only door open & my heart dropped. In big white letters, "marry me?" took over the middle of the floor with rose petals shaped into a heart. The moment I had waited for since the first "I love you" was finally here. A thousand times yes. "Accidentally in love” was our proposal song & that perfectly describes our relationship. My forever best friend and happily ever after.
