By now, many of you probably know how this all started — but for those who don’t (or just want the tea again), here’s the short-ish version… It all began in April 2019, when Karen booked a trip to London to visit her good friend Olson — who just so happened to be Micael’s flatmate at the time. On Karen’s very first night, she and Micael bonded over a friendly (and mildly competitive) game of Prosecco Pong (yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like — classy, chaotic, and kind of romantic). The vibes were vibing. As fate would have it, Olson had to leave on a last-minute work trip, leaving Micael and Karen to hang out solo. Never one to miss an opportunity, Micael quickly declared himself Karen’s unofficial tour guide for the week. By day, he sent thoughtful check-ins and sightseeing recs. By night, he planned surprise bar crawls, evening strolls under city lights, and probably overthought all of it just a little. A couple of days before Karen flew back home, Micael asked her on an official date — where sparks continued to fly over some espresso martinis. When the trip ended, they both assumed it was just a fun little fling. But… they kept texting. And FaceTiming. And texting more. (And occasionally pretending the time difference wasn’t a thing.) By late November, Micael made the (possibly love-motivated) decision to move back to the States. And on December 15th, 2019, they made it official. And the rest? Well… you're here for it now!
