IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTES - Please Read
Hello Everyone. We are so excited to celebrate this special day and share the beautiful Santa Cruz area with you! Before you book flights or hotels, we have some important notes to keep in mind. The first weekend of summer is always an incredibly busy time in this area. With so many visitors coming into town, the hotel rates can be quite high and book up very quickly. Our wedding also falls right between two FIFA World Cup Games that will be played right over the hill in Silicon Valley. Luckily, these games will happen on Friday 6/19 and Monday 6/22. We imagine many people in town for the game will want to head South to the Beach on Saturday. For these reasons, we highly recommend booking your travel as soon as possible, and staying in Boulder Creek, Ben Lomond, Felton, Brookdale, Scotts Valley or Santa Cruz on Friday 6/19 and Saturday 6/20 to avoid heavy traffic. We do not advise staying in Los Gatos as the roads between there and Boulder Creek are very winding and narrow. ROOM BLOCKS We secured a room blocks at the Four Points Marriott in Scotts Valley at a rate of $220 and Brookdale Lodge in Brookdale at a rate of $209. FLYING & DRIVING
We recommend flying into either San Jose, which is about 35 miles to Santa Cruz or San Francisco, which is about 60 miles to Santa Cruz. We also recommend that you rent a car. While Uber/Lyft is available, it's sparse in the mountains. We recommend reserving a car ahead of time.

Brookdale Lodge
It was originally a logging camp headquarters in 1870 before being converted into a hotel in 1900 and frequented by celebrities in the 20th C. We have a room block here for 10 rooms at a rate of $209.00. When booking directly with the hotel, reference "Karen and Jim Wedding".
