This was February 20, 2021--the original date of our wedding, which we so fondly refer to as our "Graveyard" wedding day. It was beautifully snowy. We spent it snowshoeing & hunting for collembola.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful amature engagement photo session with none other than Karen's sister Denise and her fiance, Jesse. We hiked, we laughed, we got super snowed on :)

Zombie wedding... This picture is so hysterical to us, and such a foreshadowing with Chuck being our zombie wedding and real wedding officiant <3

One of our first snow-ventures after moving to Yakima...in July! We went up to Mount Rainier National Park, hiked up a side of a mountain, mocked, drank some beers, and skied/boarded back down.

First trip together ever--we drove to Chicago to see Bon Iver in concert in December 2011. We planned the trip before we were officially dating and became "official" by the time the trip happened.

Yakima was a non-tourist version of wine country California. We had several winery dates while living in that beautiful part of the country!

This was one of our most memorable backpacking trips. If you look closely, Karen's eye is swelling from a mosquito bite--the mosquitos were HORRIBLE, but it was worth the scenery and memories. :)
