Question

COVID-19 Safety

Answer

We fully respect the choices you make about your health. That said, this event is taking place only 7 days prior to Christmas. We know that there will be people attending who are vulnerable or immunocompromised, or who have immunocompromised individuals or children who cannot yet be vaccinated in their families, who they plan to celebrate the holiday with in the days following our wedding. With that in mind, and in effort to ensure everyone's safety, we ask that you are EITHER fully vaccinated by the date of our wedding, OR have proof a negative Covid test within 72 hours of the event. If you choose to take a test, there are Rapid tests available at most convenient stores. If you get one through a clinic/hospital, please be sure that you will receive your results prior to the event. If you're not willing to have either of those &/or if you have any symptoms of Covid (or ANY illness), we prefer that you do not attend and we will look forward to celebrating with you at another time.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Short answer is no, not at the ceremony nor reception. We love your kids! However, we respectfully request that you find a babysitter and make it a date night. We just don't have the space, unfortunately. We also just want the party to be stress-free and safe for everyone.

Question

Wait, the wedding is on a Friday?

Answer

Yes! It's on a Friday. We totally understand that this may conflict with work schedules. If you're unable to make it to the 3:30pm ceremony, we would still love for you to join us at the reception. Please let us know when you RSVP so we know what to expect.

Question

Okay, again--hold on, you're saying the ceremony is in a park, in Minnesota, in December...?

Answer

Yes! It is. If you plan on attending the ceremony (& we hope you do!), please be conscious of the weather. It will likely be COLD. Bring your coats, hats, and mittens. We'll have some hot coffee to keep you warm and we'll keep it short & sweet. P.S. There'll be a drink waiting for you at Kellerman's to warm you up after the ceremony!

Question

Will there be seating or bathrooms at the ceremony?

Answer

Great questions. SEATING: There are picnic tables at the ceremony site which can seat up to 64 people. We'll try to clear them off so they aren't icy or snowy, but it will depend on the weather. Feel free to bring your own chair if you'd like a guaranteed spot to sit. BATHROOMS: Because it is winter, the facilities at the ceremony site will be winterized. The hotel (White Bear Country Inn) is a 3 minute drive, or a 10 minute walk away, but we'll keep the ceremony short & sweet! If you prefer to skip the ceremony and just meet us at the reception, that's totally cool too--we'll celebrate with you when we get there :)

Question

So, what if it's like an ice storm, blizzard and minus 30 degrees--are you STILL going to have the ceremony outside at the park?

Answer

You bring up such fantastic questions! No. We won't be thaaaat crazy. If the weather does not permit us to be outside for more than 20 - 30 minutes, we'll have the ceremony inside at Kellerman's. If you feel like the weather is looking quite bad on the day of, keep an eye out on this website for an announcement about any change of location for the ceremony.

For all the days along the way
