Kareena was beginning her senior year at high school while Owen started his in Lexington, South Carolina. It didn’t take long for Owen to realize that home was where he needed to be, and he soon moved back to Hartford to finish out the year. In 2019, during that senior year, Kareena and Owen began talking after meeting through mutual friends. Owen mentioned to Kareena’s friends that he was interested in her—so naturally, Kareena decided to make the first move. Although she wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time, life surprised her in the best way. As they would later learn, the best things in life happen unexpectedly. From their very first coffee date, the spark between them was instant, and they quickly became inseparable. After graduation, they navigated a period of distance—Kareena at UW-Green Bay and Owen working in sales back home. In 2020, Kareena transferred schools and moved back home, and soon after, the two began their first chapter of apartment life together. In 2025, they had already explored many places together, but May 2025 became truly unforgettable. During a trip to Grand Teton National Park—surrounded by mountains, quiet trails, and breathtaking views—Owen proposed. It was intimate, emotional, and beautifully simple: just the two of them, happy tears, and the beginning of their forever. In July 2025, Kareena and Owen bought their first home in Richfield, WI. Now, between renovating that home and planning a wedding, they’re taking on every new chapter side by side. Their story is only just beginning.
