Our families were friends. Serena's mom, Char, was great friends with Karanvir's sister, Rajvir. So on occasion, Serena had seen him around. In 2018, Serena was "complaining" about the lack of good Punjabi boys to Jaspreet, Karanvir's cousin. Jaspreet, after listening to Serena, had the thought of introducing her to his cousin, Karanvir. Long story short, Karanvir sees Serena on Dil Mil. Karanvir asks Jaspreet "should I swipe right"? He was so interested in her, Jaspreet played matchmaker, told him to go for it, Serena is such an amazing girl. They were a match! They started talking more and more, Jaspreet was getting married in March 2019. The first time Serena and Karanvir meet was at the Jaggo. Since then, they've been inseparable. They fell in love, a boy from Punjab and a girl from Arizona. And it all started because Serena wanted a good Punjabi boy!
11.07.2020 The Rokha, amidst the Covid pandemic, Karanvir and Serena's families held an intimate Rokha Ceremony at Rajvir's house, Karanvir's sister. It was filled with love and laughter as everyone blessed the couple and danced the night away. The Rokha ceremony takes place before marriage, and it is where all family and friends gather to the bless the couple. It is considered to be one of the most significant and auspicious pre-wedding ceremonies in Indian weddings. Both families gather, usually at the girls's household, and exchange sweets and gifts. The Rokha Ceremony marks the union of both the bride and groom's family and friends.
11.11.2022 The Wedding Day. We look forward to celebrating with all our family and friends on this special day!
