Question

What precautions are being taken for COVID-19?

Answer

The best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination! Since all adults will be eligible by May 1 at the latest, we strongly encourage all our guests to make an appointment to be vaccinated. All COVID vaccines approved thus far (Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J) are safe and incredibly effective: they prevent virtually all severe COVID cases and greatly reduce COVID transmission. For more information on COVID and vaccines, we encourage you to visit the CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) or reach out to us! We will also provide masks for every guest. Our mask policy will follow all CDC and Ohio guidelines, but given the evolving nature of the pandemic please stay tuned for more details closer to the wedding date. We ask that anyone who has been exposed to COVID close to the wedding date before being fully vaccinated to please let us know! While we'd love for you to celebrate with us, we need to prioritize the health and safety of all our loved ones in attendance.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The baraat and milni will both take place between 9:00 and 10:00am. A light breakfast will be available at the gurdwara starting at 9:00am, and guests are welcome to arrive anytime during the hour from 9:00 to 10:00am to eat and watch these events. All guests need to be seated in the gurdwara by 10:00am, so please take this into account when planning your morning.

Question

What do cocktail and semi-formal attire mean?

Answer

Cocktail attire generally includes suit and tie, dresses ranging from knee to floor-length, or formal jumpsuits. Semi-formal attire (for the sangeet) is similar to cocktail attire but can be slightly more casual if desired, such as jacket and slacks or a wider range of dresses and jumpsuits.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your RSVP page - if your partner's name is listed there, then yes!

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Gifts are by no means necessary - we value your company above all! For those who do wish to give a gift, we kindly request no boxed gifts. Instead, we have a registry page on this site where you can contribute to funds for our upcoming move, our new apartment, and our honeymoon.
