Catch the Pittsburgh Pirates
"Take me out to the ball game..." The Pirates are playing the San Francisco Giants at home on the 4th, 5th, and 6th August. PNC Park is considered one of the best stadiums in the country (even if the team aren't hitting the home runs of the 1970's...) We are planning to attend the Monday night game on the 4th. Please let us know if you would like a ticket and we can look into booking for a group discount.
Eat a sandwich at Primanti Bros
Glasgow and Pittsburgh have many things in common. One of those is adding chips/fries to any dish. Primanti Bros is home to a famous American sandwich with the original and best location down in The Strip district. Kara recommends the roast beef. Craig recommends the pastrami. Don't call it a poor man's Philly cheesesteak... even if it was made for the workers.
Throw a ball at Arsenal Bowl
Lawrenceville (a 5 min Uber from the venue) has a beautiful wooden bowling alley in operation since 1938. Feel free to ask Craig about the time he bowled a turkey here. It involves Seth Rogen.
Ride the Duquesne Incline
Enjoy a spectacular panorama of Pittsburgh and its famous three rivers. Ride to the incline's Observation Deck in the 150 year old car to take in what has been described as one of the most beautiful views in the country.
