Question

Will there be COVID precautions required/ taken?

Answer

We are taking precautions as we have waited until it was safe enough to hold our celebration with our friends and family. As the bride is immunocompromised, we are asking guests to take reasonable actions in the two weeks leading up to the wedding such as masking in crowded places, avoiding anyone who is sick, and masking while traveling to Colorado/ the wedding. We understand that there will always be a risk but we would appreciate it if we could minimize it as much as possible. If this isn't feasible we ask that you either test negative the day of the wedding before attending or understand if you are unable to attend. Our ceremony venue will be outdoors, however, our reception venue will be indoors in a smaller space. We are working with the venue to ensure that it's ventilated and minimize the risk of any contamination, such as having staff wear masks to serve food. We are planning to not wear masks during the wedding and reception, so taking these precautions allows us to be able to enjoy our time with everyone without having to worry as much about the risk of illness. Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal. We also recommend bringing a coat as the ceremony will be held 10,000 ft above sea level in the mountains, and Colorado in the fall can get a bit chilly.

What clothes should I bring?

Answer

After living here for a year and speaking with locals, the answer is yes. Denver looks like it will be in the high 80s and Breckenridge will be in the mid to high 70s. As we are closer to the sun, it is much stronger so it will feel about 20 degrees warmer in direct sun. If there is cloud cover it will feel closer to the listed temp. You can experience all four seasons in a day here, so there is always the potential for rain and wind. The motto here is if you don't like the weather, wait a couple of hours!

Will there be non-alcoholic options at the reception?

Yes! We kept everyone in mind when picking our venue and made sure that they serve amazing mocktails as well as cocktails.
