Things To Do

New York Transit Museum

New York Transit Museum

99 Schermerhorn Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201

The Transit Museum is located in a decommissioned subway station at 99 Schermerhorn Street Brooklyn, NY 11201, and accessible by over 20 bus and subway lines. It rocks! A limited number of tickets are available for purchase on site, and advance reservations are strongly encouraged.

Sottocasa

Sottocasa

298 Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Hill, NY 11201

Our favorite Neapolitan pizza place. It even has gluten-free and vegan pizza.

Masstransiscope

Masstransiscope

386 Flatbush Ave Ext, Brooklyn, NY 11201, New York, NY 11201

In 1980, experimental filmmaker Bill Brand created the Masstransiscope, a modern interpretation of the popular Victorian optical toy, the zoetrope. To see it hop on a Manhattan-bound B or Q train at the Dekalb Avenue stop (corner of Dekalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue Extension) and look out any window on the right side of the train.

Court Street Bagels

Court Street Bagels

181 Court Street, Boerum Hill, NY 11201

The best bagels in town! Cash only, of course.

Hike the Brooklyn Bridge

Hike the Brooklyn Bridge

New York, NY 10038

If you remembered to pack your wool long underwear, you're prepared to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, grab some Dim Sum in Chinatown and take the F train home.

Devoción

Devoción

276 Livingston Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201

Columbian coffee, guava croissants and tropical plants. Often packed with people.

Café Kitsuné Boerum Hill

Café Kitsuné Boerum Hill

112 Bond Street, Boerum Hill, NY 11217

Sure, the price of a cappuccino will make your eyes pop, but it's cozy and spacious inside.

For all the days along the way
