In 2008 two high school freshmen added each other on Facebook. They did this for no reason other than, as Dana puts it: “he just felt familiar”. Fast forward eight years to 2016. Mike was scrolling his Facebook feed when he was reminded about “this absolutely stunning blonde” that he had friended almost a decade ago. Mike did some light investigating as to who she was, he couldn’t seem to place the familiar face. He decided to slide into Dana’s DMs with a quick “what’s up” followed by an exchange of phone numbers, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

After five years, four moves, two states, and one cat, Mike finally popped the question! It was in October of 2020 that Mike had planned a weekend getaway, as he always does, for Dana's birthday but, this time there'd be an extra surprise. They packed up for a weekend in Princeton , NJ at the Peacock Inn. Mike filled the day with all of Dana's favorite activities such as coffees, pumpkin picking, fall cocktails, long drives through autumn foliage and the day was topped off with an extravagant dinner at The Perch. They passed on dessert since Mike had asked to bring Dana to the Bent Spoon, one of their first dates spots, instead. All dressed up and ice cream in-hand, the pair made there way across the street to Palmer Square where they sat and reminisced for awhile. Just before leaving Mike took Dana's hand, got down on one knee, and asked Dana to spend forever together, without hesitation she responded "YES".
