Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

Yes, we ask that everyone be fully vaccinated (as defined by their home country) for the safety of our friends and family. In addition, the City of Chicago currently requires indoor event venues to verify that all guests are fully vaccinated. We anticipate that our event venues will require guests to provide proof of vaccination status.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do! But we want our wedding to be your night off.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Formal/Cocktail (i.e., nice but not a tux) or Indianwear, please! If you're looking to wear Indian clothes, check out these retailers as a starting place: Rent the Runway, Sani Designs, Lukh Studio, G3 Fashions, Kalki or Terrainde. Don't be shy - we love celebrating the Indian culture through clothes! We kindly request that you do not wear white at any event. All other colors are welcome!

Question

What should we do in between the ceremonies?

Answer

This is the perfect time to choose your own adventure. Whether you use it to rest, practice your dance floor moves or explore the city, take this time to recharge. We will see you back at the Walden for the western ceremony at 5:30! Check out the Things to Do page for recommendations.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from the Marriott Marquis on Sunday. Guests staying at the Hilton Garden Inn are welcome to walk around the corner to the Marriott Marquis for access to the shuttle. Transportation will not be provided to and from the Blackstone Hotel.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is valet or self-park options for a fee at the Marriott Marquis. There is free parking at the Walden, which is first come, first serve.

Question

Are the events outside?

Answer

Summer in Chicago can be unpredictable, so all of our events will be indoors.
