Guemes Island Info

If staying on the island while in town, make sure to buy food in Anacortes to bring over with you. Guemes is a tiny island with only one store - the Guemes Island General Store has some delicious baked goods, pantry basics, a small selection of (pricey) frozen food, and a restaurant/bar.

Guemes Island Ferry

Getting to Guemes requires a short, 5-minute ride across the channel on the Guemes Island Ferry (terminal at 6th Street and I Avenue). Fares can be paid with CARD ONLY, no cash. Fares are the cost of a round-trip to the island and back. If you are arriving to town on the day of the wedding, we recommend walking on the ferry - we will have a shuttle waiting on the other side to take guests to the venue. Free ferry parking is available at the 72-hour parking lot in Anacortes, at 6th Street and K Avenue, and free street parking is available as well. If you are driving on, get in line early! Between summer vacationers, a first-come first-served system, and the 20-car limit, the ferry line may extend 2-3 sailings. Please refer to the ferry schedule for sailing times from Anacortes. Note there is NO PARKING at the venue - you will need to park on the Guemes side and take the shuttle!

Guemes Island Shuttle - Ferry to Venue

July 26, 2025 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

A shuttle will running between the Guemes Ferry (Guemes side) and the wedding venue, in line with the ferry schedule. It is a ~5 minute drive between the two locations. The shuttle will pick up guests from the 2:45pm, 3:30pm, and 4pm ferries - though note ceremony seating opens at 4pm. Ferries land and unload on the Guemes side 10-12 minutes after sailing time. For guests who drive on the ferry, we ask that you park in the free ferry parking lot at the Guemes side, then hop on the shuttle - parking at the venue is limited to immediate family and vendors. As the evening winds down, the shuttle will take guests from the reception to the ferry, starting at 7:00pm. The last shuttle will depart at 10:45pm for the final 11:00pm ferry.

Sea-Tac Airport to Anacortes Shuttle

Bellair Charters run a shuttle from Sea-Tac Airport to Anacortes 7 days a week. The trip takes ~3 hours and costs $112.00 per person, round-trip. If you take the shuttle into Anacortes, plan to get dropped off at the Anacortes Shell Station, right in the center of the town. DO NOT get off at the Anacortes Ferry Terminal - this is a ferry to another island, NOT Guemes Island. For a group of 20 or more, shuttle prices drop to $80 per person, round-trip. If you would like to stay on the island while in town, VRBO is one of the best ways to find a rental. Most rentals require a 2-night stay. House rentals book up quickly, so we recommend taking advantage of many hosts' policy allowing free cancellation through July, and booking now!
