Question

Covid Precautions

Answer

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we are asking all guests to follow all CDC guidelines for at least 14 days prior to our events. Please no travel during that time frame in consideration of the other guests (especially the elderly) in attendance. Please don't hug the bride and groom at the event. We are saddened to have to ask this and can't wait to hug you all when it is safe. We are also asking each guest to take their temperatures the morning of the event. If you have a fever or feel sick please do not attend. Please wear masks and keep at least 6 feet away from elderly guests at all times.

Question

Is this a child free wedding?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and the reception are adult only celebrations.

Question

Can I use my phone or other electronic device during the ceremony?

Answer

NO. NO PHOTO OR VIDEO OF ANY KIND DURING THE CEREMONY. We kindly request that all phones and other devices are turned off and are put away during the ceremony. This means no facetiming, snapchatting, instastories etc. It is extremely important to Kristen and Anthony that the ceremony be completely device free. They want each of their loved ones to be present with them at this once in a lifetime event. They will happily share professional photos and video with every guest! It is important to Anthony and Kristen that Kristen's walk down the aisle isn't obstructed by devices and/or people trying to get their own shot. They also want to look at the most important people in their lives during the ceremony, not a sea of phones and devices. As attorneys they understand the importance of cell phones day-to-day so if they can put them down for an hour they'd greatly appreciate if their guests on their special day can do the same. Thank you in advance.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Men: Suit and tie. Women: Knee-length cocktail dress, Floor-length gown or a suit. The ceremony will be in a Catholic Church, so please be mindful of that when choosing dress options. Feel free to wear any heels! The floor at the outdoor ballroom reception area is that of a typical indoor floor and all areas surrounding the venue are paved (no dirt or mud to trek through). There are photo opportunities on some grassy areas so we suggest bringing heel guards if you'd like to walk on the grass but they are not necessary. The venue is fully heated or air conditioned, if necessary, depending on the weather in October! Below is a 20% off code to be used for Rent the Runway: KAWEDDING0826

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

The short answer is: most likely, yes. The ceremony will be held in Cortlandt Manor, NY at St. Columbanus Church, the church Kristen attended growing up. The reception is about a 50 minute drive north in Poughkeepsie, NY on the Hudson River. Ceremony Address: St. Columbanus Church, 122 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567. Please be sure to go to Cortlandt Manor and not Cortlandt, NY. Reception Address: The Grandview Outdoor Ballroom, 176 Rinaldi Blvd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We suggest that you use the time between the ceremony and the reception to check into your hotel. There is a wonderful bar and restaurant called Shadows on the Hudson right next to reception venue to enjoy. Don't fill up on food too much though! You know Anthony and Kristen are big eaters and there will be plenty of food at cocktail hour and the reception. Guests can arrive at the venue at 4 if they'd like for a drink before cocktail hour. The shuttle starts running from the hotels at 4.
