Mehendi is the Henna ceremony and the kickoff for the wedding celebrations. This ceremony is aimed at ritualistically beautifying the bride and groom and preparing them for their wedding day. Expect dancing, drinking, and mingling! You are encouraged to get your own Mehendi design applied, all while enjoying a personalized bazaar experience curated just for you. Lunch and cocktails will be served at this event.

Indian / Western Black Tie Attire
Sangeet, meaning “music”, is used to describe the traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony involving a night of festive dancing and song. Mitch and Kanak’s friends will perform a variety of dances to celebrate the union of the couple and bonding of both families. This is your time to shine! All are welcome and encouraged to perform a dance, song, or display art of their own. Please let us know if you are interested and we will help you get in touch with our planning team. Dinner and cocktails will be served at this event.

Indian casual attire in shades of yellow and orange.
Haldi, Hindi for “Turmeric”, is a ceremony where the bride and groom’s bodies are cleansed and purified prior to entering marriage. It symbolizes the happy start of a new life together. Prepare to get messy! This brunch event focuses on the application of a turmeric paste to the faces of Mitch and Kanak. Lunch and light cocktails will be served at this event.
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Regal Indian Attire. This will be worn for the entire evening
Baraat is a celebratory wedding procession that escorts the groom to the wedding where he will meet his bride. Get ready to dance on the streets! You may want to wear comfortable shoes for this event. There will be time to change into nicer shoes prior to the Shaadi (wedding ceremony). Cocktails will be served at this event
6:00 pm - 6:45 pm
Regal Indian Attire. This will be worn for the entire evening
The Varmala Ceremony, also referred to as Jaimala, is the commencement of t he Hindu wedding, serving as the first time the Bride and Groom meet before starting the wedding ceremony. There will be a garland exchange and then we will proceed to the Mandap where Kanak and Mitch will be married. This is a short standing ceremony
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Regal Indian Attire. This will be worn for the entire evening
The grand finale, the bride and groom will exchange flower garlands and then be married by a pandit at the mandap. Shaadi is a seated, formal event. Mitch and Kanak will proceed to the Mandap to be married. Refreshments will be served at this event. This is a seated ceremony.

The final party! We will eat , drink and enjoy some endless dancing and laughing while celebrating our favorite newly married couple. Dinner and cocktails will be served at this event.
