Every good story starts before you realize you’re in one. Before we ever met face to face, our story began quietly through conversation. What started simply soon became something we both looked forward to every day. Somewhere between laughter, late-night talks, and sharing pieces of our lives, a connection formed so naturally that it felt familiar—like something that had always been meant to be. Without realizing it at the time, our story had already begun. When we finally met in person, it was at one of Kamryn’s slow-pitch softball games. There were no grand expectations—just a casual setting and a moment that instantly felt comfortable. The connection we had built through words carried effortlessly into real life, making it clear that this meeting wasn’t a beginning, but the next page of something already unfolding. As seasons changed, our relationship quickly filled with spontaneity and adventure. Sometimes it was as simple as, “Get dressed, we’re going to a concert.” Other times it became memories we’ll laugh about forever, like a trip to Panama City Beach, where a giant manatee swam just feet away and nearly gave Madeleine a heart attack after being mistaken for a shark—or the moment Kamryn picked up a jellyfish to show Madeleine, and lessons were learned. That spirit of adventure only grew stronger. Together, we explored the jungles of the Dominican Republic, jumped into waterfalls without hesitation, and snorkeled through the clear blue waters of Turks and Caicos. Along the way, we learned that our favorite memories weren’t about where we were going, but that we were going together. Somewhere in between all of that, golf quietly became part of our story. Thanks to Madeleine’s family, Kamryn was quickly—and enthusiastically—introduced to the game, and it wasn’t long before he was fully addicted. Since then, we’ve played courses all over, spending long days on the fairways sharing laughs, friendly competition, and enjoying every round just as much as the company. Through all the movement and travel, our favorite memories were never tied to a place; they were built around moments we created together. Some of the best nights were spent gathered around a table with family and friends, laughing over card games and friendly competition (and yes, sometimes getting just a little too competitive). Through it all, we both knew one thing with absolute clarity: family is the most important part of our story. Whether it was a marathon round of Phase 10 or a heated game of Uno, those nights reminded us that joy doesn’t need anything fancy—it lives in shared stories, inside jokes, and the simple tradition of being together. Our life together wouldn’t be complete without our two pups. When we met, Kamryn already had Hershey, now eight years old, who has been with us from the very beginning. He went from sprinting through the woods, wild and free, to becoming a full-time snuggler who would rather curl up on a lap than chase anything. After we moved in together, we were lucky enough to welcome Honey into our home. Madeleine insisted it was only fair to even out the odds, and Honey arrived with the biggest goofball energy—a happy, playful spirit that fit perfectly with our adventurous, love-filled life. She brought new life to our home just as Hershey began to slow down. Together, they’ve filled our days with laughter, chaos, and unconditional love. Adventure, laughter, and fun became the foundation of our relationship, but beneath it all was something steady and enduring. We’ve learned to support one another, trust each other, and find comfort in both the big moments and the quiet ones. What began with conversations, unfolded on a softball field, and grew through road trips, travel, golf rounds, card games, and shared wonder has become a partnership built on love, friendship, and trust. And now, as we step into our next chapter together, we’re excited for every adventure still ahead—side by side.
