Kam and Carter met in college on a choir tour to the North Midwest. This story begins with a pick up line unlike any other. Carter asked Kam what the weather was going to be in Milwaukee. From there, bus buddies became friends, then love interests and three weeks later, they were exclusive. For almost three years, Kam and Carter have enjoyed adventuring together, trying new foods, listened to new music, seeing new sights, and definitely going to new coffee shops. Mixed into the grueling hours of homework, they grew closer taking regular day dates to downtown Chicago and the occasional weekend journey to different states. On one of these trips, they drove together from San Diego back home to Chicago. Carter worked in secret, with the help of friends and family, to ask Kam a most important question in one of her favorite places, Zion National Park. They took a short hike up a secluded hill that overlooked the valley and Carter got down on one knee and asked Kam to marry him. Her first reaction was, "Are you joking?!". Squeaking with delight, Kam said yes and they were along their way to ever-after. Kam and Carter are looking forward to married life and all of its ups and downs, the places they will see together and the ways that they will grow closer together and closer to God.
