We met the summer before our junior year of college as counselors for UGA’s Dawg Camp — a welcome program for incoming freshmen. Fun fact: We actually weren’t supposed to date! As counselors, we signed contracts promising we wouldn’t start relationships with each other while serving at camp. Clearly… we didn’t read the fine print closely enough. Our first date was at Panera (very fancy, we know), and what started as a simple lunch turned into something so much bigger. We grew together through the rest of our college years — cheering on the Dawgs every fall and then both moved to Atlanta after graduation. After four years of dating, we moved in together at a cute little place in the city. This year has been the best yet. We adopted the sweetest pup named Indie (our pride and joy), and bought our first home — just one week after getting engaged! Kam proposed during our annual family summer beach trip, with the ocean behind us and our families secretly hiding nearby to watch. It was the most perfect surprise, and now we can’t wait to start the next chapter of our adventure together.
