Are bats going to bother me in the cave?

Answer

Lost River Cave does not house many bats in the cave. The staff has assured us that you likely will not see bats due to the wet cave having only one single point of entry. You are far more likely to see bats in your yard!

Will Kentucky be hot in July?

Answer

Yes, summer in Kentucky is hotter and more humid than many parts of the country. We carefully selected a location with this in mind. The cave averages 65 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. The River Walk and surrounding areas will be likely be between 70-80 degrees due to the cool air from the cave. This is far more comfortable than the usual 90+ degrees in other parts of the state.

Is there transportation to the ceremony?

Answer

Lost River Cave offers golf carts to transport guests to and from the parking lot. The ceremony will take place along the River Walk among the trees. The reception will take place in the cave.

Please arrive to Lost River Cave and be seated at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m.
