We met in January 2013 as students at PLNU. Every freshman student was put in a small group to help with acclimating to college life and making friends. We were put in the same group! Kevin immediately noticed Kami's loud laughter and was intrigued by her positive energy. Kami was enchanted by Kevin's humble disposition and genuine kindness. By the end of the first session, Kevin told his friend in the group "I'm gonna date that girl." The whole semester was spent getting to know each other as friends, and Kevin reached out in the Summer to get Kami's number. We talked non-stop every single day, and shared our first kiss under the 4th of July fireworks. From then on, we were inseparable throughout our college career. Fast forward to 2017. We had graduated college and started our first professional jobs. Unfortunately we were going in different directions so we mutually ended our relationship. The next 6 years included wonderful successes and challenging hardships both personally and professionally for us. We were both going through woes of grief in 2023 when Kevin reached out to Kami in friendship. After lots of healing conversations, we decided to give dating another try. After our first date, we knew we wanted to be together for life…and now we’re getting married! Our journey is the ultimate story of redeeming love and God bringing beauty from ashes. We are truly humbled He chose us to have this story and we are beyond grateful the Lord wove our lives back together.
