Their journey began when they were just sixteen, sparked by a little Instagram encouragement from their mutual friend, Abby Fischbeck. What started as a simple follow turned into years of quiet admiration, a few Instagram likes here and there, and the occasional bold reply until, in 2020, Alaric finally sent that first DM. From the very beginning, even through a phone, they felt something special. After two months of late-night conversations and laughter, they finally met at the Lake of the Ozarks. That first night, Alaric swept Kam off her feet, and they danced under the stars at Shady Gators. After a few weeks of holding onto that amazing weekend, life kept them in different cities, and they chose friendship while trusting God with the rest, even when it wasn’t easy. A year later, when Kam discovered Alaric had moved to St. Louis, she couldn’t resist reaching out. With a little help from Alaric’s best friends, Caldwell and Conner, they spent more time together, but always “just as friends.” One night after a Cardinals game, God’s timing stepped in. As Kam drove a few of Alaric’s friends home, Conner said what everyone was thinking: “I’m gonna need you to date my friend Alaric!” Kam laughed and replied, “Well, you better tell HIM that!” Soon after, Alaric asked Kam on a date to Momma’s on The Hill. They closed the place down, and from that night on, their hearts simply knew. God was gently pulling them toward each other, and this time, they weren’t letting go. Not long after, they went with friends to see Alesso at Ryse Nightclub at Ameristar. They danced the night away and were glued at the hip the entire night. It was that night that Alaric said he knew she was the one. Soon after, the night before Kam left for vacation, he took her on a picnic date at Art Hill where they enjoyed Katie’s Pizza, got bit by mosquitos, and shared even more meaningful conversations. Then Alaric pulled out a single red rose and asked Kameryn to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history. Fast forward to August 2025, Alaric proposed to Kameryn at Art Hill, surrounded by red roses, a full-circle moment that held so much meaning for them both. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Today, the love we share is something we still struggle to put into words. It’s strong, easy, steady, peaceful, joyful, and far beyond anything we could have planned ourselves. We are endlessly grateful for the love God has given us, a love that continues to grow, deepen, and surprise us in the best ways. We’ve found a safe place in one another, a true partner in every season, and a shared vision for a life built on faith, love, and trust.
