What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes (5pm) before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time, the ceremony will start at 5:30pm.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, there will be a card box at our reception. Please note Eileen has not legally changed her name yet, so checks can be written out to Byron Kam and Eileen Ly. Thank you for all of your continued love and support!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding & dress to impress! The dress code is dressy casual attire. For this time of year in Hawaii, may we suggest the following attire: Women: midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates, and any comfortable/dressy heel (no grass or sand will be at our venue). The bridesmaids will be dressed in emerald green (just in case you’re wondering). Men: lightweight dress shirt with khakis or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional - we welcome the Aloha spirit, so dress in your best aloha shirt. Please no t-shirts, jeans, shorts, or slippers (aka flip flops for the mainland guests).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The Hyatt has self parking available for $10 (we recommend coming early if self parking due to the garage filling quickly). Valet parking is also available for $15. However, if you’re planning to drink, we recommend Uber/Lyft.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Anywhere in Honolulu or Waikiki would be a great start if this is your first visit to Hawaii! We did not block out rooms given the large amount of lodging options available, so feel free to book a room where you feel most comfortable.
