Where the heck is Hayden?
Answer
Excellent question. We are located 30 minutes outside of Steamboat Spring, Colorado and only 5 minutes from the Hayden Airport. We are a driving commute from the town of Steamboat. There is a bus that drives from Steamboat to Hayden, but it has very limited hours and is not a reliable option in the evening.

What if I cannot come?
Answer
We totally understand and we love you either way. We sent you a wedding invite to let you know that you are in our hearts, even if you cannot attend our ceremony. Please accept this invite as a standing welcome to our home anytime you would like to visit the mountains in the future.

What should you wear?
Answer
Our wedding is taking place in the hay field behind our house. The hay will be harvested before the wedding, but the field can be prickly once cut. This means you should prepare to wear shoes that allow you to comfortably walk around outside. It is a good idea to prepare for lower temperatures at night. The event will be semi-formal wear.

Where do we park for the event?
Answer
We will be shuttling guests from the nearby Hayden Fair Grounds to our house on the day of the event. Physical address for parking: 398 S Poplar St, Hayden, CO 81639 Please plan ahead a allow yourself time to park and make it to our house in time for the ceremony at 3pm.

What are the food options?
Answer
We will be hosting our two favorite food trucks from the Yampa Valley: Fais Do Do - a New Orleans Cajun Food Truck Website: https://faisdodobistrotogo.square.site/ & Jamerican Joe's - a Jamaican Food Truck We will release the event specific menus prior to the wedding. In the meantime, feel free to look them up and get an idea on whether you prefer Cajun or Jamaican food. We promise you, there is no wrong decision between these two delicious options.

Can we bring our own beverages?
Answer
We will be providing drinks (alcoholic and non) at an open bar. However, we will not have a bartender. We will have numerous canned drinks and two pre-mixed cocktails to chose from. If you have something specific you would like to bring, go for it. It is a backyard wedding after all. Whatever you do though- make sure you have a safe ride home. Otherwise, Kalynn will force you to camp in the yard. We love I-Do's - not DUIs. So make sure you are being safe above all else!

How long should we plan on staying?
Answer
Although the wedding itself will only be a one day event on Saturday, August 5th, our home is a world renowned vacation destination during both the winter and summer months. Our mountain town is remote and it takes time and commitment to get here. Therefore, we recommend staying for a few additional days just to make the travel time worth your investment. There are abundant opportunities for exploration and adventure in the summertime, making our celebration a chance for a genuine vacation.

What is the Best Brewery in the Yampa Valley?
Answer
Storm Peak Brewery. No Contest. If you want to try some local Colorado beer this is the place to go. Check out their main location on the West end of Steamboat or their new location at the resort, The Bus Stop.

Who has the Best Happy Hour?
Answer
Mahogany Ridge, but it is a happy HOUR. Literally. It only goes from 4pm-5pm, but it is the longest lasting an most beloved happy hour in town. Don't miss your chance to eat $1 tapas like a real local at this adored Steamboat institution.
