Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park

Duh. Come for the trees, stay for the rocks. Passes are required to enter the park - $30 for a day pass or $80 for an annual pass. Senior passes are available for $20 annually or $80 for a lifetime pass. If you have the time, we recommend driving through the park to see the sights. It's about 60 miles end to end from the West entrance to the South entrance and traverses the Mojave and Colorado deserts. And definitely heed the warnings about the chollas. IYKYK

Half the park is after dark! Joshua Tree National park is designated as an International Dark Sky Park which means there is very little light pollution in and around the park.
