If you are flying in and do not have a rental car, please contact the hotel directly for their complimentary hotel shuttle service, daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm (maximum 5 persons) on demand from the airport for flight pick-up. Please see the Guest Services Department to schedule your flight drop-off.

Rideshare Information

Uber and Lyft do not exist in Thunder Bay currently. They have an app called Uride. Eric and I have only used it once, and it was more expensive than a rideshare in the States. We highly recommend a rental car if you plan on heading downtown (15-20 mins away) or exploring the beautiful area.

How to get to Thunder Bay (From the States)

From the Midwest: 1. Fly out of Chicago (Midway) on Porter Airlines. Prices are decent, smaller planes, separate airport in Toronto, and free alcoholic beverages. 2. Drive 10–11 hrs from Chicago to Thunder Bay. Take the scenic drive on the north shore of Lake Superior through Minnesota to the border. From the West Coast of States: 1. Fly to Chicago on any airline. Then take Porter Airlines from Chicago (Midway) to Thunder Bay. 2. Fly to Duluth, Minnesota, get a rental car, and drive the last 3 hours to Thunder Bay on the scenic north shore of Lake Superior to the border. 3. Fly to St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, get a rental car, and drive 6 hours to Thunder Bay.
