Question

What dates should I book for the trip?

Answer

Kali and Caleb will be arriving at Occidental Xcarat on Tuesday, October 8th, and checking out on Monday, October 14th. We are encouraging all guest to book their travel plans based on what works best for them. We would love for everyone that’s invited to be there with us part or the entire time of our stay.

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

The location of the ceremony is outside, next to the water! The event is semi-formal, but anything you want to wear we are sure will be ok. The bride requests you refrain from wearing a wedding dress, but if that's really all you have to wear, she prefers that to you going naked. Also Ladies, the ceremony location seems to have gravel on the ground, so to keep the emergency room visits down for this trip you might want to consider wearing flats or sandals!

Question

What if I want to bring a gift to the showers?

Answer

We chose to register through Zola because of how easy it is for all of us! Most of the individual items we've added can be found other places if you wish to purchase them in a store and wrap them! Do not worry about the items not showing up as purchased on our website. The items purchased via Zola will be shipped to our house! We also can choose to wait and ship them after the wedding which keeps us from having things sitting at our door while we are in Mexico!! Also do not worry about marking somethin as "purchased" if you are going to purchase it elsewhere!! If we get multiples of anything, Zola allows us to exchange them before they ship!

Question

Will there be an itinerary for the party?

Answer

Kali and Caleb will have a tentative group itinerary for the entire time we are there. However, nothing beside the ceremony will be mandatory for the group. We want everyone to have a great time, and we will encourage everyone to come and go as they please.

Question

What is there to do?

Answer

The hotel has been visited by Katy, Caleb’s sister, and Kiefer, Kali’s brother, and both have high praise of the resort. The resort is connected to a nature preserve and adventure park that includes cave diving and zip lining. The adventure park is NOT part of the all inclusive resort package, and daily access to the park will require purchasing passes, something like $50 per person per day. The all inclusive resort has multiple pools, restaurants, and bench access, which is sure to be part of our daily activities.

For all the days along the way
