We met a mutual friend (Candace) for drinks after work one night and then again, a few nights later, we (plus Michael and Brooke) went to a birthday get together. When we got to the bar I wanted to sit somewhere and there were only two benches left, so intentionally (I’m assuming) Brooke and Candace sit on one bench. Leaving bench numero dose wide open for Mr. McEachern and I. We started talking about life, goals, etc. and I was intrigued. I ended up Facebook messaging him to “ask him about the podcast he talked about” but to be honest I never looked up the podcast. The rest is history!
The first time I met Kali, she struck me as very intelligent. She was obvisouly very beautiful, but more than that, I enjoyed talking to her. She was a great listener, and she was an independent thinker, both qualities I loved. I quickly became obessed with her. Of course, I didn’t let her know that, but I also wasn’t shy about continuing to put myself in her line of vision. Kali was very cordial, but I wasn’t sure she was interested in me. It wasn’t until the late night facebook message I received from her asking about the podcast that I knew she thought of me as a viable option for her. Still, I had to continue to pursue her company to seal the deal. It was a beautiful time in my life, and a real blessing to find someone that checked all of my boxes, and eventually it became evident that I checked all of her boxes too. Once we both felt confident in saying that to each other, I knew she was the one. From there, it was just a matter of getting through the formalities of really getting to know each other and learning to work together that I felt was important before popping the question and making the commitment that we would spend the rest of our lives together!
