Obviously, you should definitely explore Berry's campus! Not only was it our home for 4 years, it's also the largest campus in the world where students are outnumbered by deer. There are plenty of easy trails to walk or pretty spots to take photos. We hope you can see why it's such a special place to us! If you're looking for on campus hiking trails, I suggest the Old Mill to the Reservoir trail (1.1 miles), the House o' Dreams trail (2.6 miles), or walking the loop around Victory Lake.

This statue was donated from THE Rome, Italy! It is an exact replica of the famous Lupa Capitolina sculpture which shows the legend of the founding of Rome. The original is found at the Capitoline Museums in Rome, Italy! I, Kalene, took Latin for 4 years and visited Italy with my teacher, think it's a super cool spot. Definitely selfie-stop worthy!

We recommend the Marble Mine trail. It is an easy, 1.7 mile round trip hike with an abandoned mine entrance, trickling waterfall, and a beautiful lake. There are also some great picnic shelters in the park.
This is the best bakery in town and another certified Rome classic. They are catering our wedding cake but if you want to explore their other desserts, it is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. (I recommend their cream horn 10/10)
The cutest downtown shop with private tea rooms and a massive selection of teas available for purchase. The owner is incredibly kind and always up for a friendly chat!

Only an hour from Rome, Cloudland Canyon has some really great views, two beautiful waterfalls, and a ton of steps. It's also where I (Kalene) broke my ankle and had to be carried down the mountain. FYI- don't wear Chaco sandals and end up like me.
This national nature preserve is an hour west from Rome, right over the Alabama state line. There are lots of trails, photo stops, and the canyon waterfall is huge. The water is also often open for swimming so bring your swimsuit and hop in!
