Both Kaleigh and John were starting new careers at Townsquare Interactive (TSI) in Charlotte, NC in 2015. She was a sales rep on the other side of the sales floor, but John noticed Kaleigh, and ultimately found a way to secure a spot on her team. John has been wanting to ask Kaleigh out for a while, but she was only focused on work throughout the day. Every afternoon when the clock hit 5:30pm, Kaleigh was out the door before John could say something to her. For weeks, John tried to catch up to her, and finally one day, he packed up his bag at 5:20pm and kept a close eye on her. John caught up with Kaleigh on the elevator, invited her to a party that Friday night... and the rest is history!
After 4.5 years together, Kaleigh and John have made it through a lot as a couple, so when COVID-19 and "stay at home" hit, they were ready for the challenge. John had hoped to propose sooner on their birthday trip in May, but COVID foiled that plan. After 3+ months of quarantine, Kaleigh and John scheduled a trip to Galveston, TX to spend some time with her dad. John had planned the proposal for the first night there, but Hurricane Hanna had other plans. Despite being delayed one day, John planned a sunset walk on the beach, where he planted a memory book he had given Kaleigh early in their relationship. After flipping through a few pages, Kaleigh noticed a secret code of several underlined words... After breaking the code, John popped the question "Will You Marry Me?". Neither COVID nor a hurricane could stop this proposal!
The couple has decided to get married in the city where they met and fell in love - Charlotte, NC. Planning a post-COVID wedding has been interesting, and it's still too soon to tell if COVID will be lingering in November 2021. In the meantime, they're doing their best to plan the wedding of their dreams, but do expect to be limiting the guest list to provide a comfortable and safe environment. Thank you for supporting them in their journey. They hope to celebrate with you soon!
